First Day of Work, First Day with Mickey

So today was my first day of work!

I work at Cinderella's Royal Table in the Magic Kingdom. This is the restaurant in the castle for those of you who aren't up on your Disney facts.

I had to catch a bus at 5:06 am from Vista Way. Yeah fun times. I met my trainer on the bus to backstage Magic Kingdom. She was so nice! I really appreciated her patience, honesty and humor.

Basically today I was trained to be an upstairs seater. Guests at Cinderella's Royal Table come in, get their picture taken with Cinderella, then go upstairs and eat. While eating, the princesses take turns coming around and then we have a "wishing ceremony" where they use their little wands to make wishes or whatever- super cute.

So today I took guests to the tables and gave out menus and stuff. Tomorrow I'm being trained for downstairs- to do the "podium" and greet guests, also help facilitate the pictures with Cinderellie.

I also got to try EVERY thing on the menu for breakfast- it was so good. I didn't eat the stuff like steak but the stuff I did try was amazing.

The highlight of my day was witnessing a marriage proposal. Apparently they happen all the time at my restaurant!

I also loved seeing all these families enjoying a meal together. The dining room is also bursting with energy- the kids get so excited to see the princesses. It made it all worth it to see how happy everyone was.

After my shift ended at 2:30 I met up with Dani and soon Devin and we played around Magic Kingdom.

We participtaed in the Dance Party: Move It, Shake it, Celebrate it! So much fun!

We then went to Town's Square Theatre and got to meet some famous people. It was my first time meting Mickey, but I get to hang out with the princesses all the time at work now.

So all in all another unreal day.
I was a little sad though- It's Mother's Day and I'm not with my mum :( I have the best mum in the whole world and we have so much fun together. I really miss her today! Working at CRT and seeing all the families, and having just been to CRT with my mum last year, it was an extra sadness.
But I know I'll see her soon :)
